These are my third & fourth canned jars of tomato soup! The tomatoes are from my garden & my uncle's garden. I'm hoping I get fresh tomato taste during the winter.
The feeder attaches to the glass panel of our door to the deck. It took a while before the birds started to use it, but they have started to enjoy it now! How fun to watch them so close!
Emma Rose found a monarch at the pool today. It crawled on her finger, and she walked around showing it to all her friends. It was amazing that it let her show him off like that. She was so pleased!

All 4 of the caterpillars seem to be ready to pupate. Not sure what they're waiting on!
Two of the caterpillars have climbed on to the sticks we have them. We are hoping to see them pupate soon!
They should be getting close to pupating. It's shocking how fast they grow & how much they poop!
This one just molted. His old skin is visible just underneath him. This one is the second largest of the four caterpillars we have. It loos like a third one is just getting ready to molt.
I brought in several caterpillars last night before a rain storm. I feared they might get washed away. They are happily munching on the fennel that came inside with them. It's amazing how quickly they grow. Everyone is exited about seeing the butterfly life cycle again this year!
In the picture, you can see one of the larger ones & another smaller one in the back ground.
On Friday, April 20th, we noticed that a robin had just finished a nest right outside our front door. We can see right inside her nest from a window upstairs.
